Type guide

Type bonuses in the All 22 Pokémon Football Game

Type is a nudge, not a cheat code. In the All 22 Pokémon Football Game, alongside the stat weights, a handful of types get a small flat bonus at certain positions — Psychic quarterbacks, Rock and Steel linemen, Fighting pass rushers, and so on. Only the single best bonus on a dual type counts, so they never stack.

The biggest is +6, and most are +2 to +4. That is enough to settle a close call between two similar Pokémon. It is not enough to make a bad fit playable.

The bonus matrix

Points added on top of the stat recipe. A dash means the type gets nothing at that spot.

Which types are actually worth it

Each bonus weighted by how much its position counts toward the Team Score, so +4 at a 24% position beats +6 at a 4% one.

Fighting, Ground and Rock lead because they are rewarded at the heavy-traffic spots — the line and the front seven. Bug and Fairy are almost decorative.
